For those students graduating soon, many questions might be lingering, but an important one is what will you do next? Some of you will be going back home while others will leave town to pursue their careers. For those graduates students that are undecided whether to leave town and continue with their studies at another university, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) offers many graduate programs.
For instance, the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business (ARSSB) at TAMIU has a fully online master’s program available. There are several graduate programs being offered like a Master in Business Administration (MBA, both in English and in Spanish), Master of Professional Accountancy and a Master of Science in Information Systems. The graduate programs in the A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business at TAMIU are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and is earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.
The A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School is Business is the only school at TAMIU that offers a Ph.D., in this case, in International Business Administration. The Ph.D Program is very affordable and recognized by the AACSB accreditations. The ARSSB also has two undergraduate advisors, (Ms. Maggie Blasco and Ms. Annabely Sanchez) and two graduate advisors (Ms. Leiza Nochebuena-Evans and Ms. Imelda Lopez) to offer students assistance and answer questions across all disciplines. ARRSB strives to create an environment that is conducive to the students’ success and academic growth. This is why one of the most important tasks for the ARSSB is the hiring process of their professors. Accredited Business schools must meet specific standards and their deans, faculty, and professional staff must commit to improve and make sure the university will maintain the highest quality of education to their students.
The time and work dedicated in the hiring process of a professor for the ARRSB is very important and the Dean is careful and meticulous in guiding the selection process. A search committee is set up and has the task of reviewing applications from candidates from all over the world so they can finally recommend the best for an interview and perhaps the opportunity to teach at our university. The potential hiring candidates are then invited to visit the campus at TAMIU for an interview so they can see if they feel they would be a good fit for this university. The candidates also have an opportunity to meet with the university’s Provost so he too has the opportunity to talk with them and make an assessment. Currently, the faculty in the School of Business come from many different countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Burma, China, England, India, Iran, Pakistan, South Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, United States, and Venezuela.
In recent years, TAMIU has grown to become one of the best universities in Texas not only by offering top-grade affordable education, but one that also employs the best professors in the field. TAMIU is constantly ranked nation-wide as an excellent choice for higher education. Current students and alumni can be proud of the education they received and/or are currently receiving at this university, so if you are considering to continue your education with a Master’s Degree, TAMIU is your best option.
